SOUTHEAST SAS USER GROUP CONFERENCE

Conference Grants

Thanks to the support of SAS®, SESUG offers Academic and Professional Development Grants for qualified applicants to learn more about SAS by attending the SESUG conference in October. There are a limited number of grant awards to qualified students, faculty, high school teachers and professionals who have been using SAS as part of their employment for less than 3 years.

NOTE: Priority will be given to applicants who currently reside, work or attend an accredited degree-granting institution or high school within the SouthEast region. Applicants from the NorthEast region will being given second priority.

Saturday, June 20, 2020 - Deadline for abstract submission
Monday, September 20, 2020 - Final papers due

  • Enhance your experience by volunteering. Check out the volunteer information on the SESUG Website. Grantees are required to volunteer for at least one shift.

Academic and Professional Grant Details

College and University Students

Eligibility

  • Full time students in accredited degree-granting program.
  • Must use SAS software for research or studies as part of their current academic program.
  • Be able to attend the entire conference.
  • No prior SESUG award in this category.

Levels of Support if Awarded

  • Reduced registration rate of $50.
  • Room rate of $50 per night for 2 nights for non-local grant recipients.
  • Presenters qualify for up to $300 travel stipend based on receipts.
  • Food is NOT covered other than food included in the registration or as part of grant recipient recognition.
High School Students

Eligibility

  • Students enrolled in high school.
  • Must use SAS software for research or studies as part of their current academic program.
  • Be able to attend the entire conference.
  • No prior SESUG award in this category.

Levels of Support if Awarded

  • Reduced registration rate of $50.
  • Presenters qualify for up to $300 travel stipend based on receipts.
  • Food is NOT covered other than food included in the registration or as part of grant recipient recognition.
College and University Faculty

Eligibility

  • Full time at accredited degree-granting institution including community colleges.
  • Teach with SAS or use SAS in research at their primary institution.
  • Be able to attend the entire conference.
  • No prior SESUG award in this category.

Levels of Support if Awarded

  • Reduced registration rate of $50.
  • Room rate of $100 per night for 2 nights for non-local grant recipients.
  • One 4-hour extra-fee conference workshop of your choice at a registration rate of $25.
  • Presenters qualify for up to $300 travel stipend based on receipts.
  • Food is NOT covered other than food included in the registration or as part of grant recipient recognition.
High School Teachers

Eligibility

  • Teach with SAS, use SAS for research or participate in SAS high school teachers program as a full-time teacher at an accredited high school.
  • Be able to attend the entire conference.
  • No prior SESUG award in this category.

Levels of Support if Awarded

  • Reduced registration rate of $50.
  • Room rate of $100 per night for 2 nights for non-local grant recipients.
  • One 4-hour extra-fee conference workshop of your choice at a registration rate of $25.
  • Presenters qualify for up to $300 travel stipend based on receipts.
  • Food is NOT covered other than food included in the registration or as part of grant recipient recognition.
Professionals

Eligibility

  • Currently use SAS software as part of full-time employment.
  • SAS software user (other than student use) for 36 months or less through October 2020.
  • Be able to attend the entire conference.
  • No prior SESUG award in this category.

Levels of Support if Awarded

  • Reduced registration rate of $50.
  • One 4-hour extra-fee conference workshop at a registration rate of $25.
  • Presenters qualify for up to $300 travel stipend based on receipts.
  • Food is NOT covered other than food included in the registration or as part of grant recipient recognition.
