Conference Tutorials
SESUG Pre- and Post-Conference Tutorials (formerly called Weekend Workshops) offer an additional educational opportunity to conference attendees. We are looking for recognized, experienced, and talented instructors to share their expert knowledge in a half-day tutorial in their area(s) of expertise. SESUG is planning multiple 4-hour tutorials covering a variety of topics and differing experience levels to appeal to a wider audience of potential attendees.
Pre-Conference tutorials are scheduled for the following days:
- Saturday, October 24, 2020 (afternoon sessions only)
- Sunday, October 25 (morning and afternoon sessions)
Post-Conference Tutorials are scheduled for the following day:
- Wednesday, October 28, 2020 (morning sessions only)
Instructors are required to provide handouts for class participants in
these fee-based tutorials and also present a paper during the conference.
Please be aware that instructors teaching on Saturday and Wednesday will
need to provide their own audio-visual equipment (including screen
and projector); AV equipment is provided for Sunday tutorials.
If you are interested in teaching a tutorial at SESUG 2020, please complete the
SESUG 2020 Call for Tutorial Proposals spreadsheet. If you have more than one proposed
tutorial, please use the same sheet to list them all.
Be sure to also review and sign
our
2020 SESUG Tutorial Instructor Details document. Your signature is required and indicates
that you agree to the Pre- and Post-Conference Tutorials Guidelines.
(We have changed the application process slightly this year to help streamline
proposals from instructors with multiple class options.)
Please submit your proposals and completed form to Venita DePuy at
sesugops2015@gmail.com by the
June 1, 2020 submission deadline.
Presentation length: 4 hours (two-part tutorials, totaling 8 hours,
will also be considered).
