STATISTICS and DATA ANALYSIS

Papers in this section can cover a wide range of statistical procedures and methodologies utilizing the many SAS products such as SAS/STAT, SAS/QC, SAS/ETS, SAS/OR, or Enterprise Miner. Techniques directly relevant to preparing data for statistical analysis are also of interest. Of special interest are papers that demonstrate new or improved developments in SAS software, utilize recent statistical literature, or present interesting statistical or data mining applications. Papers on statistical skills needed by nonstatisticians would also be considered for this section.

POSTERS and VIDEO POSTERS

Posters are an alternative format where the presentation is a stand-alone poster on display during the entire conference rather than a formal lecture. Presenters will be available at a scheduled time to answer questions for attendees. These presentations will also have a paper in the proceedings. Topics that benefit the attendee studying detailed source code are ideal for this section. It is also a great section for first time presenters. New this year is the option to create a Video Poster. You provide the laptop or other video system with headphones, and we’ll provide the security. Have a computer based training system you want to show off? Want feedback on the usability of a website? Want to do a “live” presentation on video where attendees can replay a section to study it in more detail? These are just some of the options available for a Video Poster. These presentations will include a standard poster presentation. Contact Section Chair Dana Rafiee to discuss your Video Poster idea in more detail.
